Mike Voegele is a certified
professional photographer and holds the degree of Master and Photographic
Craftsman for the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Mike reopened his
father's studio in 1968. He has been president of The Associated Professional
Photographers of Illinois, Southern Illinois AR League and has served as
councilman of the PPA. He has won numerous awards in print competition over the
years in portrait, commercial and wedding photography.
Shaun Voegele is a new generation
photographer. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Associated
Professional Photographers of Illinois (APPI) at Decatur March 23rd. The
APPI is the association for professional photographers of Illinois and has
more than 300 members. They are very involved in improving professional
photography both in business and art. It has been in existence since 1912. It
has a strict code of ethics and has a convention and a seminar each year.
Shaun's 2005 board position will be the trade show chairman for the 2005 fall
seminar and the 2006 spring convention. He is following in his father's footsteps.
Mike Voegele was also a member of the board, being elected in 1980, and became
president in 1989. Shaun also is president of the Southern Illinois Art League.
Shaun is a professional photographer at Voegele Photography Studio in Highland.
Voegele Studio has been in business since 1968 and is known throughout the area
as one of the leading photography studios in the area. He specializes in senior
and wedding photography.
In his short time he has already won numerous competitions. He
holds an associate degree from SWIC. His style is contemporary and very
creative. His prints have been displayed at both state and national conventions.
He has studied under the top photographers in the country along with his father
(Mike). His wedding pictures are unique and creative showing the beauty that
a once-in-a-lifetime day deserves.
